The role is focused on planning, coordinating and assisting the Firm and
its Partners to develop the Firm’s business, build its relationships with
existing and potential clients, and develop and manage its market profile.
Key primary responsibilities amongst others to note:

  1. Identifying new business leads for revenue generation.
  2. Pitching the Firm’s legal services.
  3. Supporting the development and management of strategic
    relationships with existing clients.
  4. Leading in the planning and execution of the Firm’s marketing
    and communications initiatives.

Required Experience: Minimum of Five (5) years’ experience in Sales, Business Development,
Market Research, Communications/Digital Marketing, or similar roles.
Relevant experience working in similar roles in a law firm or professional
services firm is an advantage.

Required Personality: Confident, energetic, articulate and hardworking team player with a desire
to excel and a passion for the work. A strong work ethic with a positive,
‘get-it-done’ attitude. Honesty, integrity and commitment to the common
goals and values of the Firm.

Other Requirements:

Knowledge Needs: Candidate must have a good knowledge of Business development, with
expertise in the particular focus areas being interviewed for which are:

✓ CRM as a concept and the emerging technologies needed to assist the
Firm win and retain clients legal work

✓ Business operations;
✓ Branding;
✓ Knowledge of the use of Business development processes and tools;


✓ Excellent inter-personal and persuasion skills;
✓ Excellent problem solving, listening, learning and analytical thinking
✓ Advanced knowledge of Microsoft office applications (Outlook, Word,
Excel, PowerPoint);
✓ Ability to use Adobe Photoshop/Coreldraw
✓ Excellent organisational and administrative skills with an attention to
✓ A demonstrated ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet concurrent
deadlines; and
✓ Ability to work out of office.
